Who we are

Midday Mahj organizes afternoon games of American Mahjong at partner restaurants and private lessons. “We” means Midday Mahj; “you” means you, the player, guest or visitor.

Tickets

A ticket saves your seat at a specific afternoon and includes what that afternoon’s listing says (usually your seat, the tiles, and a drink or small plate at the venue). Tickets are for the person named on them; if you’d like to send a friend in your place, just let us know.

Cancellations and refunds follow our refund policy.

At the table

Be kind. We’re here for a friendly game, and we may ask anyone who makes the table unpleasant for others to leave, with a refund for the unused part of the afternoon.

No playing for money. Gambling isn’t allowed at Midday Mahj afternoons or lessons, including small stakes like quarters, because our events are ticketed and held in restaurants.

Food and drink are served by the venue. Please tell us about allergies; we pass them on, but we can’t guarantee any kitchen is free of an allergen.

Venues

Each venue is an independent business. We choose them with care, but the venue is responsible for its own premises, food and service.

Changes

Sometimes we need to move or cancel an afternoon. If we cancel, you get a full refund. If we move it, you can keep your seat at the new time or have a full refund.

We may update these terms. The date at the bottom shows when they last changed.
